ANOTHER convergent opportunity
Okay, the last post before I move to a new home on Wednesday. Email access will be spotty for the next two weeks, as we’re leaving for Pacific Yearly Meeting next weekend.
But I couldn’t leave without letting Friends know:
August 24-26 will be the annual retreat at Ben Lomond Quaker Center hosted by the Christian Friends Conference of Northern California. The theme will be bringing (and keeping) youth into Quakerism and among Christian Friends. I have been asked to speak about convergent Friends as part of the weekend’s activities.
It’s a beautiful place in the redwoods. The group brings together Friends from programmed and unprogrammed meetings and churches. I have heard that the worship and friendly atmosphere have been wonderful in past years. My whole family will be attending, at least part of the weekend.
