Also Marianne IS amazing. On her last trip, she taught the first ever class in basic child development to mothers in the Kabul women's prison.
And in her stateside life, besides being a fabulous teacher to kids here in the materially blessed San Francisco Friends School, she serves on the state committee that chooses science textbooks for public elementary schools.
